David Sánchez is the director of the Spanish Federation of Consumers CECU, a progressive organisation advocating for a sustainable, critical, and transformative consumption. David started as an activist at Friends of the Earth Spain, where he later coordinated the campaigns on food and agriculture. For 8 years he was based in Brussels, as director of the European office of Food & Water Watch, advocating for healthy and sustainable food and access to water for all. Between 2018 and 2022 he served as Chair of the Board of FOE Spain. Born in Madrid in 1980, he holds degrees in Environmental and Political Sciences and an MSc in Ecology.
